Tradycyjnie w październiku na Hipodromie rozpoczyna się sezon halowy. Zawody konne będzie można oglądać dwa lub trzy razy w miesiącu, a pierwsze już w najbliższy weekend, czyli 9-10 października.
Sezon rozpoczną zawody w skokach przez przeszkody z cyklu JumpOFF Hipodrom. Jest to wydarzenie dobrze znane miłośnikom jeździectwa, rozgrywane regularnie od jesieni do wiosny, a startują w nim zawodnicy z całego Pomorza.
Dla publiczności wstęp na zawody jest bezpłatny, a organizatorzy dbają o to, by nie zabrakło atrakcji dodatkowych. Będą zatem stoiska z pamiątkami inspirowanymi jeździectwem, będą food trucki, na miejscu jest też restauracja. Hipodrom zaprasza całe rodziny, warto zabrać najmłodszych, bo nic nie może się równać z emocjami, jakie towarzyszą oglądaniu zawodów konnych na żywo.
Kibicowanie na zawodach nie wymaga specjalistycznej wiedzy ani doświadczenia. W ramach zawodów rozgrywanych jest wiele konkursów o różnym stopniu trudności. Wysokość przeszkód w danym konkursie określa jego trudność, zaś zadaniem zawodnika i konia jest pokonanie wszystkich przeszkód bez zrzutek i w określonym czasie. Za każda zrzutkę oraz za przekroczenie czasu naliczane są punkty karne. Wygrywa ta para, która jest najdokładniejsza (brak zrzutek) i równocześnie najszybsza.
Przeszkody w każdym konkursie różnią się nie tylko wysokością, ale też kolejnością. Przy każdej przeszkodzie jest numer, dlatego zawodnicy przed rozpoczęciem konkursu oglądają trasę i uczą się kolejności, w jakiej muszą pokonać parkur.
Oprócz zawodów JumpOFF, w ramach których do końca roku odbędzie się pięć eliminacji, w październiku oraz w grudniu Hipodrom gościć będzie najmłodszych zawodników. W dniach 26-31 października na Hali Pomarańczowej rozegrany zostanie Halowy Puchar Polski Dzieci i Młodzieży. Będą to zawody o randze ogólnopolskiej.
Do kibicowania młodym jeźdźcom zapraszamy również w dniach 10-12 grudnia. Podczas zawodów na hali będzie działał jarmark świąteczny.
